W ith the filter/pump pushing 100%, I can swim in place against a strong circular current. I can only use the side stroke so I have to switch the direction of the flow and swim in the opposite direction to develop evenly. I agree, swimming is the perfect exercise. It is a pleasure to move in my element.

Our grandchildren are 8, 6, and 4...only the four year old can't swim yet. They all love the water and will spend most of the day, without stop, just playing in it. Our species originated in water...it's home. We share gill slits with our ancestors at one point in our fetal development...we did breathe water at one time. It would be relatively easy to create, through genetic engineering...a water breathing human. Or...can you imagine a human brain transplanted into a dolphin? We're on the verge of experiments and experiences beyond anything dreamed of. Are you excited by that...or fearful? This is an actual picture of an atom under an electron microscope. It's a gold atom with 158 protons and electrons surrounding it. It could just as easily be a galaxy in the next lower dimension.

The development of natural science and technology should be guided by social science such as ethics. You know the controvercial idea of human cloning will remain as time passing by.
I agree with the idea that we originated in water and That is why I choose my name as walter.

I agree Walter...ethics should guide our technological development. But usually, it's the market place and the military who set those standards. The Ethics chief at the White House has quit saying that it's (ethics) absent from this administration. Some senators are describing Trump as "crazy".
I have high praise for science and there's really no going back anyway. We can only hope humane individuals will stay involved both politically and socially.
I'm delighted you chose your name with the beautiful element water in mind. This is "Falling Water" designed by Frank Lloyd Wright...a local I also have high praise for. Can you imagine having a mountain stream flowing through your home?
I realize this is an exercise thread...tolerate us Herc.

I walked for half an hour today. It was to the Salvation Thrift Store and to the library. At the library I borrowed season one of Gilmore Girls, at the Salvation Army I brought 3 books, each for one dollar. The Shack is one of them. I will try to walk longer tomorrow.

Hi, fleurette
Reading and doing exercise are good habits for us who is mentally ill. When I was ill and not diagnosed with mentally ill, I read a lot and the reading made me alive and I found the right way to kill time. If it is possible, you can try writing some articles and it can give you confidence to cope with difficulty.
God bless you and good luck to you.

Walking is good exercise Fleurette. My wife and I frequent a place called "Practical Cents"...similar to your Salvation Army resale store. I get all my shirts there...tailored and fine quality for 2-3 bucks.
