Keith I have been to Jilin (吉林市)city in winter and saw the pine with snow. There is a famous water dam and power station. You can typewrite in Chinese. Oh yeah, how do I do that? I suppose there's a setting on my computer somewhere that permits that? If that's so, it would be a great tool for learning any foreign language. Now that I think about it, if you can type in English...I can type in Chinese. I just discovered Google Translator. Here we go.
那我用Google翻譯。 所以,沃爾特,我在等待看到我的名字(Keith)在中國的樣子。
嗯,看来我没有中文的名字。 最后一句话是用“繁体”中文翻译的。 这是“简体”中文。 Which do you use? Traditional or simplified.
This is the dam and powerplant you spoke of...impressive. The Japanese built it in what was Manchuria (Manchukuo) at the time. Was Shenyang (Liaoning Province) also part of Manchuria? I've answered my own question with google...yes it was. Are your ancestors Manchu peoples?

my ancestors are not Manchu people. The emperors of last Dynasty in China were Manchu people. We use simplified Chinese. Your name in Chinese is 基思(Keith). I look up your name in the online dictionary www.iciba.com you can check it up. Yes, Fengman Hydropower Station in Jilin city was built by Japanese from 1937 to 1945.

I'm still burdened with 4-5 kg of excess weight. This is so even though I'm getting a bit more exercise. I'm just flat out lazy...simple as that.

Walked for 80 minutes again this week
Clocked in at 104 which is less than last week, but then noticed the scale hasn't been calibrated properly so I may truely by 106 etc. Nonetheless I am less than last week, but I don't look or feel skinnier.

Weighed in at 105kgs but the scale was calibrated properly this week so it is probably the same as the 104 rating two weeks ago when the scale was off centre.
I did walk on Saturday. I don't think I will be losing any weight only walking on saturdays. My 1.5 hour walk on Saturdays' is the same thing as walking for 15 minutes each day, which doesn't sound impressive at all.
I am thinking of finding a walking club and doing 3-4 hour walks on saturdays. That would help the weight loss hopefully if I go up a level.

I walked for 1.5 hours last saturday and again weighed in at 105kgs.
I am thinking of upping my saturday walk to 3 hours. I think my legs are ready for it from the 1.5 hour walks. 3 hour saturday walk is like walking 30 minutes every day. Dr Google says 30 minutes of walking = about 4000 steps. Maybe 3500 for me as I don't walk very briskly. 30 minutes of walking = 200 calories and 3 hours of walking = 1200 calories. You need to lose 3500 calories to lose one pound. I would lose about one pound per month or 1 kg every 2 months.
Apparently 30 minutes a day is the minimum you should do to avoid diabetes. If you walk for 60 minutes per day then you lose mega weight. That would be six hours of walking on the weekend.
I don't know how I could fit that in.
Anyway - I am going up to 3 hours this saturday to see if any impact.
I will also google local hiking clubs.

I have walked for 1.5 hours every saturday for the past month and now weigh 106Kgs. 1kg more than last month.
At least it is summer now so I can walk at night for 15-20 minutes.

Did half an hour worth of exercise today. But hardly ate today. Then weighed in for a result of 104kgs. That is a 2kg loss. But I was confused because I didn't eat so maybe I just weighed less as there was nothing in my stomach.
Anyway - whatever at least it is better than asking questions about why I am 107 or 108 kgs this week.

I weight about 100 kg and I ride a E-bike and it could reduce my exercises.

I've heard that the central government there has banned e bikes in 10 major cities. One story said they were banned because they are too quiet and riders were being killed because motorists can't hear them. I would think that the environmental benefits of e bikes would offset anything negative they could say about them.

Yes, The e-bikes cause lots of traffic accident. The local governments of Shenyang don't ban the e-bikes and I can take my son to school and fetch him home.
