Today I walked for 15 minutes after dinner around the two blocks of our home. It wasn't much but all I could fit in today.

Been lazy on posting but happy to share that I have been to yoga three times in last two weeks. Better than nothing and certainly a workout. Gong to go to the g today too. Need to go 5 days a week but this is a pretty good start for me and it does help.
How is everyone else on getting a routine going ?

Btw. David. Gyms are awesome. I have to push myself in the beginning but they are quite motivational. Just my thoughts.

Hi Jody I am supposed to do weights today but I have strained a muscle. Trying to think of something else to do instead that will take 15 minutes.
Good to hear from you. Was wondering what you had been up to.

PS., And if I may reiterate what I have said on several occasions before now speaking from what I've learned as a diabetic YES
exercise is very good for our body... and in particular our circulation and yes we burn calories but not as much as we would like to... excellent also for firming up body muscle.
However, The main way to lose weight is as a result of what we consume daily calories wise.
And in the main cutting down considerably on the carbohydrates...
replacing same with more protein.

The big barrier I face to losing weight is juice. I drink it by the truck load.
Is stevia bad for you?

I keep cold bottles of water handy. I'm so lazy I won't go out to the kitchen for some juice or other sugar beverage when an alternative is right next to me. You have to play on your weaknesses.
Stevia is a sweetener and sugar substitute extracted from the leaves of the plant species Stevia rebaudiana.
The active compounds of stevia are steviol glycosides (mainly stevioside and rebaudioside), which have up to 150 times the sweetness of sugar, are heat-stable, pH-stable, and not fermentable. These steviosides have a negligible effect on blood glucose, which makes stevia attractive to people on carbohydrate-controlled diets. Stevia's taste has a slower onset and longer duration than that of sugar, and some of its extracts may have a bitter or licorice-like aftertaste at high concentrations.
The legal status of stevia extracts as food additives and supplements varies from country to country. In the United States, stevia was banned in 1991 after early studies found that it might be carcinogenic; after additional studies, the FDA approved some specific glycoside extracts for use as food additives in 2008.The European Union approved stevia additives in 2011, and in Japan, stevia has been widely used as a sweetener for decades.
I think Japan has proven it viable and healthy.
