Hi David' I am going OK. I see the doctor every week. I havent been in hospital since August. It takes very little to topple me so I try and balance my days out. My friend Jeff is very kind to me. recently my HWS blew up, nearly $1500 so he loaned me the money until I could arrange it, then my front tooth broke, then the aircon went then I got a speeding fine so so much for trying to save this year...lol Summer is nearly over, pdoc gave me an electric lawnmower, he called it a barbie lawnmowr to help keep my yard down, my neighbur runs over my front yard when he does his, I seem to have some very kind people in my world at the moment. I will be 60 this year...wow...my daughter will be 30 next weekend. I have been invited to a garden party at the Mayors huse with Jeff on the Saturday night so will have to high tail it home Sunday morning to get everything set up for he party. She has done her enrolled nursing and is now at uni doing her registered nursing. Apart from that all is ok, I have to be very careful not to disassociate, that is scary. I am losing the sight in one eye, went to the eye surgeon and they did a heap of tests and have given me drops, they think it is glaucoma in its infancy, Dad and Nanna both went blind with it...still see the head of the deoartment on 19/3. I hope you are well, all of you. Love Sue

Hi Sue
Always nice to hear from and equally delighted this time around to learn that appear to be in good form.
Yes Jeff has turned out a good egg after all. So important to have such a close association outside of the family as well as within.
Sorry though to learn about your monetary expense.
Still that is less than the emotional cost of further hospitalisation not just for you but your loved ones also... I am including your pets Mozart and Sox for they must miss you considerably when you are unavailable. Probably more so not knowing the reason a vacation.
Love, and special thoughts as ever, David x

Glad you are doing well David, that makes life easier. Yes Jeff is a rather unique person that I keep on a long rein, saying that he rings 3 times a day to check I am ok.
Today I will pick up my meds and shop for fruit for the party then clean the patio in readiness, tomorrow morning I will bake and refrigerate that then pop over to the coast for Friday and Saturday night with Mozart, Sox is fairly independent as long as he has the doggy door open and food and water around.
Things dont go to plan but I try noy to beat myself up about them...just one step at a time.
I have never been to a garden party before...especially one at a mayors home...live and learn.
Take it easy every one xxxx

Hi David, Yes I was on my best behaviour, eating oysters and smoked salmon and drinking soda water from crystal glasses, overlooking the ocean. Jeff has just started on chemo meds for his blood cancer so we left relatively early. It is funny being a non drinker amongest drinkers but it really does not mix with my meds. Everyone else knew each other and let their hair down but I just sat back and watched...and ate...food I had never tried before it was fun. My daughters lunch went off a treat too then on Tuesday I slept in until nearly mid day...unheard of. Off to pdoc tomorrow. Hope you are well. xxx

It's always revealing to see my friends acting like idiots and to realize how I must also look under similar circumstances. The experiment was never voluntary, I was forced to stay sober to satisfy some legal requirements but it was nonetheless...positive. I've never tried oysters...looks gross. You don't chew these, right?...just let them slide down your throat? AAAhhggg....

Lol...hahaha yes that is oysters, they are grown where I was visiting and I could eat them by the dozen...au natural. In this hot climate they are very refreshing you just jiggle where they are connected and use the shell as the serving vessel and down the hatch, delightful.
Truly with my med regime alcohol does me no favours...I still will have a small glass of wine at lunch if out somewhere nice but that is about it savouring it like a nice oyster.
Yes funny to be sitting on the other side of the fence watching the party...but I rely on my medication.
I must say they were all well behaved but their faces became flushed and thir hand movements rather exagerated...Jeff had just started his chemo drugs so we left fairly early into the night.
But it was wonderful to see how the other half live.
Hope you are well Keith.x

Glad toy has a good time ... and without drink. lol equally pleased your daughters lunch went well also. Having a lie in is par for the cause when we reach a certain age... and if not it should be. Re drinking I imbibed a great deal for many a year and used to think what's the point of socialising without a drink in my hand. Since then, like you now I find you ae much more aware of what's going on without same. And don't have to be told the next day what you said and did. lol Much more satisfactory !

Haha...yes they are claimed to have aphrodisiac properties however as they are served by the dozen I dont think they all work...lol It surprises me you havent tried them David. I suppose we grow them here and they are still a luxury item. People cook them and do all sorts of things, I just like them fresh...yummo.
Thank you David for keeping me in your thoughts, it has been nearly 6 years now since I was asked to leave the farm, I think you were as much in disbelief as I was.
I do like a bubbly and wine but it really plays havoc with my meds, I am heavily medicated, now if we go out I get a raspberry or a soda and lime.
Depression is a bit overwhelming at the moment but I am still going to aquarobics and taking the dog to the beach but I turn in early just have had enough of the days.
I hope you are all well.

We've moved into the 21st century...little diamond shaped blue pills have forever replaced any aphrodisiac folklore or herbal applications. Frankly, they have been my salvation. Sex and love are everything...the pills make it possible for both to continue into older age. It has been the single greatest aid (beyond my full dark hair) in prolonging my youthful perceptions. I owe Nature for my genes...I hope I've followed the plan.
