and your belongings.
Although we have different ideology, I respect your faith and your religion and your belongings.

Yes Walter, I am also someone who believes in tolerance
whether it be to do with one's religious belief or none, culture, skin colour and the like.. and no matter where one lives in the world I go one further in that although tolerant in most things I disagree with war and nuclear weapons, that have the potential to wipe us all out.
It may be that I am of an age that is closing in on the final chapters of my life... so why concern myself with same. I am thinking more of future generations in what I say in the previous paragraph.
For although I am not far off becoming extinct, I want future generations to survive in order to protect planet Earth and the species therein.

David
I totally agree with you and We should solve international problems by dialogue instead of war or other violent means. I hope that we could have a shared future and colorful world.

As for the nuclear weapons, we have no other ways. We just hope that the world leaders are sane enough to make the world in peace.

As for the nuclear weapons, we have no other ways. We just hope that the world leaders are sane enough to make the world in peace. One of the possible designs for interstellar spacecraft involves using nuclear warheads to propel the ship up near light speed so we can visit (within eight years) the triple star solar system of Alpha Centaurus which has one member named "Proxima B" that has an orbiting planet perhaps capable of supporting human life. Wouldn't it be ironic if we wound up using the tools of our destruction for our salvation? I consider this type of dialogue between us as preferable to simply expressing wishes and hopes. We need solid planning for a mutual future...that's not happening as of now.

Since I was a teenager in the early 1960's
I have been a member of the campaign for nuclear disarmament (CND)
and remain so, over fifty years later..
That is how much I am against nuclear warfare.

Walter, I decided to match your candor and have made my photo my avatar...as you did. It's good to have an idea of what a person looks like for correspondence to be effective.

Ok Keith
In this way, I feel it is equal for both of us.

Ok Keith In this way, I feel it is equal for both of us. Yes, physical differences define our perceptions of the environment so they are important but our subconscious minds (instincts) regard any differences as suspicious. We have to think through those suspicions to communicate and evolve...actual pictures help.
That's why Trump is such a drag...he encourages suspicion and aligns himself with Nationalism which is the enemy of humanity. Globalism is our only hope for reason and peace. We must stop fearing the differences and embrace diversity. Maybe we can come up with a collage of our members...seeing us all together could be a positive thing.

Keith
Actually, I can become more the same with you, But I have to adjust myself to my colleague and my working atmosphere. If I immigrate to North America, I would believe in God and we would get more the same.

I wish you could experience America Walter. We can believe anything, and worship anything...as long as it doesn't interfere with anyone else's beliefs. We take our freedom for granted til someone threatens to take it away. We're not used to that threat coming from the inside and the response has been slow in coming from supposedly responsible people. Freedom is very difficult to gain but rather easy to lose...if you're not careful.
