In the six years I was there on a regular basis, the daily participation numbers went from 50 to 20 to 10. As to what caused that...the explanation would differ greatly among us. Toward the end, Doc long (it's his site) began several threads (in the social forum) advocating Canadian acceptance of Syrian refugees and excoriating the U.S. for not doing so. In actuality, we accepted 85,000...Canada 38,000. Basically, he blamed us for most of the problems in the world. I considered his threads as rants that went on and on. Facebook removed his refugee site for being a security risk.
I resented his statements and actions and said so...things seemed to go downhill fast after that. I don't think I had anything to do with that...just timing and coincidence. I've always felt the best therapy for the mentally ill is to treat them as though they weren't and demand rational response. The view was not popular there. I don't consider this site as dedicated to the mentally ill.

Yes this site is run by a long standing member with mental illness who has earnt our respect and trust and has no political agenda nor paid members on the site...it is very transparent and there is no rule book to digest other than that of common courtesy, and if one of us should have his of her moments in lapse of courtesy there is no WW3 the thread is locked until we have all settled down and put some space between us and the said thread and perhaps taken our meds...in my case anyway...welcome THATS Right.

Thanks for the positive response! Why is it so quiet now? I hope it is just part of a normal ebb and flow, most fora have them, so perhaps things will pick up shortly!
So good to hear those I have not kept in touch with for the last year or two. I am not the best at posting consistently. Guess that goes without saying.
Chelle I am sorry to read of your health problems. Hope you are on track for things to improve very soon.
Will read as time allows so I can catch up some.

I am so pleased to have Jody back among us. I very much missed her wit and charm. I'm not sure how much time she has for posting but I welcome any and all. She feels passionately and thinks clearly...can't beat that.
