Happy to report that in my state there are vaccine clinics opening up everywhere now. Even the pharmacies are giving them. Numbers have gone way down since the mask mandate.
Do know that masks work. I was around someone at work for a few hours who sat right next to me coughing sneezing and blowing his nose. He was not wearing a mask. I had two on. I trusted him that he did not have covid. He told me he was coughing due to the lysol I sprayed at work. When asked if he had a covid test he said yes I'm negative. When I asked him to please put on a mask he said no that he was not putting one on because he wore one all week. I trusted that maybe it was the lysol I sprayed that was making him cough but here to find out the next morning that he lied to me and the boss. When he sent the result to my boss after my boss screamed at him that he needs to actually see that result, it said positive. The jerk was trying to keep working while he had covid. But I would say that what happened and being I did not get covid and being exposed for a whole work shift sitting right next to him that masks do definatly work or offer a good amount of protection. I tested 4 times after that exposure and all negative. Yes I doubled masked that night. I'll never trust anyone again. Too many will lie just to not miss thier paychecks but at least my boss is pretty much on top of it. Hey and maybe trump did have something there with the disinfectants lol because I sprayed the crap out of the room that night. ππππ

Hi Michelle
Nice to know that vaccine distribution in your State has plenty of outlets for folk to receive them.
What you say about this work colleague I find deplorable, in that he was subjecting those he came into contact with, could have quite easily been infected.
Therefore it was good you took masking up as seriously has you did.
Stay safe and stay well by taking as much precaution as you do, as a matter of course, David x

PS., It would be even more acceptable, if others in your work place took the same precautions on a daily basis, in order to help combat... what could prove to be be a life or death scenario, as a result of such gross, more than that recklessly irresponsible behaviour!

I usually only work with one other girl who masks up. This was a senerio where he had to put me with him because he can't pass meds and it was not my usual night to work in that house. Needless to say he is not working after pulling that stunt. Yes even putting the client in danger. Oh gosh and me? My asthma, copd and those lung nodules. I'd hate to think what could have happened. I must have had an angel watching over me that night. In the 14 days after....4 covid tests. Nightmare and worry.

Also David, they cancelled my surgery until a later date. That happened on a Saturday night into Sunday morning and my surgery was scheduled for the following Tuesday. Now surgery will be in May. They wanted to do it sooner but allergy season is coming so I'd hate to have to cancel again should I get bronchatis from my allergies. So may it is.

Also they say not to get tested right away unless your showing symptoms because it takes time for the corvid to generate in your system. Here I freaked out and went the very next day. So then again in 2 days after that, then 4 days and then 7 days. It was definably a nail biter.

Yes Michelle, I can fully understand your serious concern under such dire circumstances that transpired re the mask less guy and his coughing and sneezing bout. Stuff e have been told not to tolerate. Thankfully we were covered up, and subsequently tested negative!

Never the less I totally understand the anxiety you portrayed, in learning same. For you like me have problems with regular anxiety bouts .

That is absolutely crazy what you had to endure Chelle. You must of been scared out of your wits! I canβt believe that jerk working while he has COVID. I have to go get tested again. I have had a sore throat for the past 24 hours. I feel unwell.
I am glad that youβre okay though Chelle. Thatβs all that matters is your health.

Yes isn't that crazy? Hoping you are negative and get well soon diesel! I've been tested at least 8 times already. Everytime my asthma acts up they make me test. It's a pain.

Yes it may be a pain Michelle however because Covid 19 affects our respiratory system... I can appreciate medical concern when you have breathing difficulties, hence the additional testing. Better to be safe than sorry!
