I wonder what the point/meaning of it all could be if in the end a species evolves over countless years just to return to the earth. The cycle of life. Maybe the Earth is alive and our job is to feed it lol "Oh what's in the center of the Earth like the center of our heads their is a mind there's a great big brain inside our planet thinking about natural disasters all the time" lol. Maybe life on earth is just an experiment to the God(s) maybe we're just part of the rough draft they are still experimenting trying to get it right and maybe the God(s) are out there trying to get it right on other planets.

hi, mike
I think the evolution is not a definite theory about the origin of the species. It is a way of thinking and it shows that we human being is so ignorant about the nature and ourselves.

Hi Walter, I think people think they know more than they do. If people knew so much there wouldn't be so many different religions and theories. I define ignorance to mean lack of knowledge. Many people just think of knowledge as being good for making money or power, not so much for truth itself. I find it amazing sometimes to learn about history and see how little people knew back then compared to today but that they thought they knew what they we're doing/that they we're right. Some things never change. In the future people will look at us as primitive. What I am interested in is the truth, to explore it's possibilities anyway. www.truthcontest.com

mike
We have to acknowledge how ignorant we are about the nature and ourselves so we can get wiser in our daily life. I think that computer_chip's habit to read many books is a good way to get wiser and maturer.

After 72 years, I trust my instincts and intellect to supply an accurate contemporary version of reality. There must be a viable belief system on which to base further speculation but, if we choose to ignore the facts that science offers us preferring myth and superstition...then I guess we deserve our fate. There has been an explosion of information, communication, and technology unlike anything in history...there are no precedents anymore. We're simultaneously approaching Utopia and Armageddon...it's no time to bury our psyches in the sand.

So a question for Chelle and the other christians. How does evolution tie into Christianity or how do Christians account for it? And for Dinosaurs for that matter?
