I respect a lot of people. They have character and love in their lives.
Who do you respect the most in your life?

Historically speaking....
Jesus Christ would have to be my first choice.
Present day.. the Jury's still out on that one. lol
I will let you know when I have finally decided.

I have come to a conclusion apart from my partner Don on a personal front.
The Queen.. who is not only my monarch but yours also Fleurette.
For she has ben our sovereign since 1952 and continues to be so now in her nineties....
Such stamina is remarkable more than that phenomenal for I know of no one who has held such a exacting job down for sixty six years.

I was 8 years old when Elizabeth was crowned. I sensed a respect among my peers and superiors for her. Britain and America have remained in awe of each other for the longest time. We have represented civility and strength to a world in dire need of guidance. For many reasons...I'm very glad Elizabeth lives.

I appreciate what you share Keith.
I am not a huge fan of any monarchy per se
In saying that I do respect and admire our Queen
and the long term fellowship have with your country.

In fact my mothers sister met and married a GI
during the second world war him being stationed over here.
Sadly she died young of TB and he eventually returned
to the country of his birth.. I was very young at the time
to remember much more than that.
Although I was informed at some point later... He was of
native American stock whose surname was Harman.
So our family has some link with your country if only
in a small way, all those years ago.
Nevertheless, I am proud of such a connection!

And just to add I have a great deal of respect for American citizens
despite to current incumbent of the White House
which hopefully won't exceed one term
Mainly because of his erratic behaviour and other unsoundness
in his psychological make up...
not compatible with such high office.
