Many thanks for sharing what you have here...
I have noted the content and saved it in case
I need to refer to same in the future.
And just to say I think our combined although
individually motivated research has the hall mark
of what might be his problem in forming a lasting relationship.
I say might for no one knows for sure and that includes both you and I.
So I suggest we must keep an open mind for he himself may not know
for sure.. therefore us second guessing is also by definition also 'up in the air' so to speak.

PS., When I 'up in the air' about something...
I remind my self of this quote by W S Gilbert
of Gilbert and Sullivan operatic fame...
'Quiet calm deliberation disentangles every knot.'
I tend to recite it in my head.. so much so it becomes my mantra
at times of frustration evading too much anger.
It more often than not works for me...
and who knows it may be helpful to you also!
