Well, Trump has picked John Bolton as new National Security Advisor replacing H. R. McMasters whom he is firing for speaking his mind. Trump wants only yesmen and Bolton is certainly that. He's a regular on Fox bullshit news and acts like a trained seal when asked about Trump. He's also a huge HAWK...he wants war with Iran...or anyone else. This too plays into Trump's agenda...a war is the only thing that might get him off the hook of impeachment. Our stock market dropped 700+ points today as a result of his tariffs against your country that most economists consider stupid and dangerous. The fool is loading his cabinet with paranoid conspiracy theorists and unprincipled toadies...I fear for our world Walter.

I hope I've not gotten too intense here. Walter has a different situation than us, he must be careful in his choice of words...and maybe topics. I would hope his government appreciates the unique opportunity here for honest exchanges between our two cultures. I have absolutely no axe to grind with China. She is emerging as a major world power...in all respects. There is one thing that bothers me... xi Jinping has just created a "Central Propaganda Department" to further control the media in China. A free press is necessary for proper governmental response to the people's needs and feelings...it should be encouraged, not stifled. I hope, by stating things like that, I'm not harming Walter...I wouldn't want that.

I have been busy with my work recent days. My family and I are ok. And I know of the trade problems between China and U.S.

As a member of Chinese Shenyang Local government, my work has nothing to do with the trade problems. I just deal with the Domestic tasks.
