107 Total Posts: 2,013 equals... almost 19 posts per subject, (on aggregate), thread wise after only 7+ weeks in our new home.
I consider a remarkable achievement..
Do you agree?

I think that with all due respect to Dr Long's theory of splitting us into 3 different areas once the site began to dwindle the opposite was required, and we are seeing it here, by combining all of us into one forum we are getting more interaction and people bouncing ideas of each other. Overall people seem to be enjoying themselves which is the main thing. I am very happy with how it is all turning out.

Ditto to what you intimate above Hercules... for that has been endorsed by the membership... all of which transitioned from our last home.
So one is in a position to say it has to do with 'new' blood membership wise...
Much more to do with a 'blood transfusion'
by that I mean replacing the old 'rule' book blood with a healthier more liberated variety.
Hence less chance of claustrophobia from being in such confined space from a 'compartmentalization' point of view no matter how well mean't from the outset.

Yes agree 100%, it was well intentioned, but I never knew, or at least I never concurred with the logic of it.
Still I am very grateful for how decisive he was when he closed the site. He put up a message (which shocked us all) saying it would close, and then at least he followed through on his timeline. The worst case scenario would have been that he just forgot to lock it, and left us all in limbo as to what was happening. For that he deserves credit. Also for starting the site in the first place. Countless dollars and programming energy went into that site. He deserves a thank you.

That's not to say with a such new blood in our veins... that we now have , when it comes to a sense of carte blanche, we should always remain responsible for our actions.
For with greater freedom, comes greater responsibility both here and elsewhere in our lives.

Not locking the site was intentional , (from what I comprehended), when he pointed out in no uncertain terms, that members will always have access to their contributions.. even if posting further was no longer a given.
So for that worthwhile concession I am most grateful to our former administrator Doctor Long and for all he did My Therapy wise!

I think when he split the forum up into different groups the interaction dwindled even more so. I like how how it is here with everyone together.

No one's likely to come here randomly surfing like most of us did at MT. We are fairly obscure...netwise. I don't mind slow growth, possibly through word of mouth...fine. This place actually serves my purposes as is...anything more is frosting.

Yes i find this new sight refreshing and was bamboozled at times where I was to post in case I upset the applecart. And yes I came to MT by surfing when they kept mentioning schizophrenia to me...I guess they want you to get used to the term before they lump you with the dx. We all know each other here and sometimes I feel more comfortable with someone who has walked in similar shoes. Thank you to Dr Long for the lifeline and thanks admin for the new breathe of fresh air...I feel safe here.
