You’ve got that right Walter. It is a world of uncertainty. This little forum feels safe doesn’t it? I’ve always felt safe with the members from MT and here.

Yes when I think back to MT and all of the members it was a safe haven and good people. I’m thankful that Hercules carried it on with this site so that we all have the chance to still keep in touch. It’s slow in here right now but I am still thankful for the members that do stop in on here from time to time. It still feels safe because we were kind of a family of sort. We all had something in common and we all understood.

Walter I have not been in meds in a few years but my case was different. I had a psychosis from a medication and by having heavy stress at the same time. Thus far I’ve been ok but time will tell as they say. I do understand though because what happened to me is very similar. It lasted for years as well.
I’ve been ok off meds but I still have anxiety and at times I feel I could be pushed over the edge. I speak with a therapist regularly.
I found MT when it first happened to me and everyone there was so helpful and kind. I felt as if I found a second family and as you say people who understand. Even if I don’t come here that often, I will always cherish the friendship. I’m glad to see that you still pop in on here Walter. I don’t see the others very often.

No Walter I’m not advising anyone go off their meds. Especially if you have a diagnosis of SZ . Mine was just a different case and my doctors wanted me off. I was afraid of going off and they had a real hard time getting me off of them. I thought I had BP or SZ because it does run in my family. So I was anxious about going off. They kept assuring me that I did not have BP or SZ but a reaction from steroid medication. But because mom and my son have SZ I kept thinking so did I. It took years for me to get my nerve up to go off and actually it was a serious health issue that made me finally go off.
But yeah , please don’t go off your meds.

I can understand your posts mostly. You are introducing your situation to me and members here. Because both your mom and your son are on medications, you are getting nervous that you may be ill.

It is real a dilemma for you and you are fortunate to go off meds and you're fine without pills.

That is a real good news for you and I am happy for you.

Because there are some cultural differences, please not be bothered by what I have posted.
