I am at one with you Michelle
for what you stated above, although
I maintain that the Trump presidency
created many other problems also that must be undone. Not accepting the science on climate change being my second priority after the coronavirus infection onslaught .

And just add , the American constitution does not include a provision for sore losers, whether or not Donald Trump concedes being defeated.. by graciously accepting the result... that Joe Biden has won!

To endorse what I said in my previous post...
Former Republican President George Bush says outcome of US Election is ‘clear’ and he goes on to say...
in a statement following Joe Biden's victory that "no matter how you voted, your vote counted".
And he added that president Donald Trump had the right to request recounts and pursue legal challenges, with any unresolved issues to be "properly adjudicated".
“No matter how you voted, your vote counted", he said. “President Trump has the right to request recounts and pursue legal challenges, and any unresolved issues will be properly adjudicated. “The American people can have confidence that this election was fundamentally fair, its integrity will be upheld, and its outcome is clear.”

A quote from The Independent newspaper...
Where is Mike Pence? Vice President missing in action as Trump administration rejects election loss...
Whereas he appeared on the campaign trail with Donald Trump right up to the eve of election day,
Mike Pence has kept a low profile in public since the results began filtering in ...
and even as the Trump administration fought back hard against indications the president was losing.
And the day after the race was called for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the vice president’s public schedule appeared to be empty. He has not tweeted since the race was called.
At the time of writing, this makes him somewhat unusual among the president’s allies.
While some Republicans have begun distancing themselves from the president and his false claims that the election was stolen from him, others... such as senator Lindsey Graham and much of the top White House staff ...seem determined to fight it until the bitter end, doubling down on the president’s statements (most of them issued via Twitter)

In fairness to the current president...
until January , I sharer the following...
Here is Trump’s statement in full:
“We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner, and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: they don’t want the truth to be exposed. The simple fact is this election is far from over. Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor. In Pennsylvania, for example, our legal observers were not permitted meaningful access to watch the counting process. Legal votes decide who is president, not the news media.
“Beginning Monday, our campaign will start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated. The American People are entitled to an honest election: that means counting all legal ballots, and not counting any illegal ballots. This is the only way to ensure the public has full confidence in our election. It remains shocking that the Biden campaign refuses to agree with this basic principle and wants ballots counted even if they are fraudulent, manufactured, or cast by ineligible or deceased voters. Only a party engaged in wrongdoing would unlawfully keep observers out of the count room – and then fight in court to block their access.
“So what is Biden hiding? I will not rest until the American People have the honest vote count they deserve and that Democracy demands.”

Why, have I posted so much in this thread about politics, which bores most folk... It is essentially because polities in which no matter what country we belong to is determined by politics, whether it be, how much we pay in taxes, our health and social care, education of our children , grandchildren, whether we go to war, and much more is decided by politicians, and in particular by our leaders, who are political by nature... if it is a country that has the democratic government.
Therefore, by definition, it is critical we elect the right people for such a crucial role in our wellbeing from a personal and existential point of view.
The good news is ,in a democratic society, we can usually vote them out of office by that I mean, we can dismiss them at regular intervals, should they cause more mayhem than good in their control over us.
