Hello meds, Do not know if you have been on much but wanted to ask you if it is hard for am american to move to Canada. Is the cost of living high there? Do jobs pay more there? Are there a lot of jobs? And whatever else you can fill me in on. I know we are not allowed there at the moment due to our lax response to the pandemic but looking into possibly for the future. I have been to Canada twice and stayed in Port Credit on a business trip years ago. It was gorgeous there. I also visited the mall on Toronto.

Having visited Canada Michelle
I fell in love with not only the scenery but the politeness of the Canadian people.
Had I been some years younger, I would have not thought twice about emigrating to such a civilised country.

When I was there the hotel was beautiful. It was actually like a one bedroom apartment and not bad priced either. It was richly decorated but an older hotel with a resteraunt and catering downstairs. I had a balcony that overlooked lake Ontario. The little town had shops all up and down the strip. The food in the grocery did not seem that expensive at the time. I never picked up a paper to look at rental prices or job salaries. Wished I would have. It seemed like a great place. And yes the people I met there also we're very polite and friendly.

I am not familiar with the immigration process that well, but I can summarize what I know. There's a 1200 point system for scoring your application, and you can get 600 points for a provincial program nomination right away. You also have to take an English or a French language test, as well as provide information about your foreign work experience, Canadian work experience (if any), education level, and some other factors. If you are immigrating for reasons other than family reunification and refugee status, you can apply through a program called Express Entry, which means you have to be eligible under either the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class, or the Federal Skilled Trades Program. And each province has different criteria on how to move in, involving Provincial Nominee Programs, which may also, and also may not be a part of Express Entry. Here, if that information interests you, you can find more at this site where I've referenced the above information. moving2canada.com/immigration-to-canada-from-the-usa/Depending on where in America you are coming from and where in Canada you wish to live, you may find the cost of living higher or lower in comparison. I feel like no matter where you live, there is work to be done. Certain sectors have been hit hard by COVID, while the pandemic itself is generating activity in other sectors. Here is a page that tells you the minimum wage for each province. www.retailcouncil.org/resources/quick-facts/minimum-wage-by-province/David may call Canada civilized but the psychiatric system exists as it does in your countries as well; do you find your countries civilized? I digress and am sorry for showing my bitter views, but if anyone knows of a better or of /the/ best place for the diagnosed mentally ill to reside, let me be the first to ask that person to divulge where such a place is, and whether freedom/happiness exists, or is promised there.

Thank you so much for the info medicated. You are so lucky to have a good prime minister. I really look up to him. He knows how to speak well and seems to look out for his country. Stay well and stay safe ❤️

As far as psychiatric care in my country they want them to make thier own decisions unless they get into trouble with the law and then a judge can mandate. We used to have psychiatric hospitals where they lived at but they got rid of all of those. The only hospitals now they treat them and in a few days after they stabilize them they send them out in thier way. We don't have socialized medicine so unless you have hospitization the meds are not covered. They are very expensive here. When I was in mine it was $1000 per month but I got lucky and the pharmaceutical company gave me assistance. Also I had no coverage when I came down I'll so I had a huge bill. Had to put it in my bankruptcy.

How are you currently doing med? I have hopes in January that we can normalize our country but my eyes still on Canada just in case. I did find out that if you are a health caretaker that it is easy to get in so that is how I would apply to live there. Have not looked further than that as I gave hopes for change here. Feel lucky and privledged to live where you do. You have a country that looks out for it's people. I mean I'm sure all polititons are corrupt in one way or another but for the most part trudea seems to care about you all.

Yes that would be less of a concern for the likes of Michele and I,
if we could be informed of your current heath status!
