How is the pandemic currently playing out in your location?
Here in the UK., it is now going up exponentially
and as a result of same, triggered our government
to introduce new restrictions.
From tomorrow, not adhering to what is proposed can
make our citizens pay a fine of two hundred pounds,
close on 250 US dollars up to 10 thousand.
A measure of how the powers that be here. are taking
the health of our nation seriously.

PS., My particular area is one of several causing most concern,
because of a flouting of the rules... something I am not proud of.
Even more so, because as a septuagenarian , with underlying
medical issues making me a higher risk candid of the covid19
complications... leading up to my possible premature demise!

The Bible indicates, that three score years and ten as the median age of life
as we know it, however since that was written our life span has increased
by a possible ten years or so. And it is that I am counting on before my humanity concludes. lol

Having brought up the subject of death in this thread of mine..
Allow me to extend what I have just shared further.
I can say without the fear of contradiction, I have no fearful thoughts of same.
The only caveat I have to proffer is that I prefer to die of old age, not from an infection.
For I see death as a natural conclusion to life.... nothing more than that.
I do not fret of what life was like before I was born, so why after I am no longer around?
To do so... makes no sense!

If there is something to look forward on the other side of life
so be it; if not, I wont have the consciousness to be aware
such a predicament.
Which brings me to conclusion, that there are no winners or losers
when we finally depart this life.

Like you David, I have pre existing conditions and with my lungs. Asthma,COPD and lung nodules and hear our president in tv telling people that the mortality rate is with people with pre existing conditions.so what I'm gathering he's saying is we don't matter.
It's frustrating over here and people are tired of it. I'm sure you guys see the news.
I miss my grandkids but I have to stay put. If I want to have a chance to live that is. Although I'm going to bite the bullet and go visit my grandson's with a mask outside. But when I can't hug or kiss them now that's really sad.

Yes, I am aware of your chronic medical issues Michelle
and therefore at a higher risk than those who don't.
And I equally agree that you should not be deprived of
seeing your grandkids' in a safe way!
It will be good for them as well as you.

Recently had a Covid home test thankfully it didn't prove positive.
A very efficient service from ordering it,
(having same delivered by courier)
and returned by the same method the next day.

I noted on tonight's news we have now reached over one million deaths world wide.
How difficult is that not only to comprehend but to come to terms with.

We have do many protests and rallies going on. Large groups not wearing masks or social distancing and a leader who disses masks and makes fun of people wearing them. I see it will never go away. This will not only affect the US but the whole world as we pass it around to everyone.
We need a change over here and I am praying this moron gets voted out. I'm so done with this covid. There is nothing more frustrating than feeling stuck in a country that does not care. From me to all of you....I'm deeply sorry

Its a bit messy Michelle... in that different areas of the country
have different rules to contend with and what makes it
even more confusing is that the rules keep changing.
And yes, I definitely agree, that your country needs as change of President...
that should go with out saying but I've said it anyway!
