Hi Hercules and Paul
Thank You most kindly for the initiation of this thread.
Yes, I am back however I have to go back to hospital tomorrow for the draining of a pleural effusion around my left lung triggered by the trauma of six fractured ribs. They are now more or less healed.
What is that you may ask.... A pleural effusion is excess fluid that accumulates in the pleural cavity, the fluid-filled space that surrounds the lungs. This excess fluid can impair breathing by limiting the expansion of the lungs.
After tomorrow's surgical procedure, hopefully I will be in a position to contribute more regularly again.

Several days later, having had the surgical drain
which decanted from my left lung area over
one and a half litres of fluid.. I feel like a 'new' person.
No more so, in terms of my now unlaboured
seeker of oxygen in order not to conclude my humanity
somewhat prematurely... without saying goodbye both here
and elsewhere in my life, as I currently know it to be! lol

I feel that I aught to mention my long term partner Don in the ordeal I went through.
His support was invaluable through out the proceedings.
For the first several weeks, he proved his weight in gold. Whether it was physical
or emotional support... he was on the ball at all times, in spite of his own health issues,
and for that I am, ( and still am), exceedingly grateful!

Welcome back David.
Now, China is fighting against illness which has spread to many countries.
It is too bad that this has happened.

Thank you all for your generosity of spirt which truly overwhelms me.
However as I have pointed out in my hospital thread
I am not quite back yet on a regular basis because of complications.
I say that for my breathing difficulties have returned and I may have
to have further medical intervention.
I see a consultant physician on February 19 to determine what is next treatment wise.
No matter, if my breathing gets worse, I will be seeking help earlier.
Once again thank you for your kind acknowledgments< David
