Are you still reading? I am listening to an audio book version of it but still can't get the characters straight in my mind. Sorry that you are hating it so far.

Hi Hercules,
I am still on Chapter four but probably need to re-listen to the first three chapters again. Are you still reading this book? How far have you gotten?

Let's give up on it eh Fluerette? My friend told me it is a fast paced book moving from one relationship to the next, leaving the reader to draw comparisons between each. She said it was like the entertainment channel takes on the 18th century.
Let me know if you are into dropping it?

Yes I am all for dropping it but didn't want to suggest that in case you are gun hold on keep reading it.
So for book club 701, we shall replace it with a choice of three books your choice. One non -fiction. Hope our next book will be better.
Happy reading.

Can you pick another fiction book because I already said I didn't want to read anymore M. Atwood. I will look into the other fiction and think about considering it before you pick another fictional book for me to choose from.

Hi Hercules,
I was just going to tell you that my library doesn't have a copy of Owls do cry. So now it's good that you have selected another book instead.
Another thing I wanted to tell you is that my brain isn't what it used to be when I was in university. Are you sure you want to discuss the book with someone of low intelligence? The reason I say this is because I took a test of learning new materials and I did very poorly on that test. Also, when I was reading a recent book, I re-read the beginning of the book and it was like reading it for the first time so I know I do not have good retention of the books that I read.
I just started on Memoirs of a Geisha today so I will download a preview of the Ivy Chronicles and see if it's going to be a fit for me. Not that into mysteries but will see after I read the preview. If it is above average then I will select that book but give me a couple of days as I am busier than usual.
My bible study instructor just informed me that we have to finish both weeks of homework since we missed a lesson due to snow.
How's the weather in New Zealand, BTW?

As long as you want to be in the book club I am happy continuing. The advantsge of you is that you are laid back, and when I need to take a time out for a month or so you don't mind. I also find you pick good books to read. If you are getting tired and want to stop you must be honest and tell me and I won't mind.

No, I'd like to continue. Give me a few days for reading that preview to see if I like the beginning of the book. I just feel bad you don't have someone very smart to talk to the book about after we have gone thru reading it. That is my concern.
