California has always had wild fires but these are different. They are based on a new climate that threatens to uproot whole populations. Your people wear masks in the major cities...it's only getting worse. Apparently, we're too stupid to survive and nature is going to dust us. Say goodbye.

A U.S. govt. report on climate change was just released. It has dire warnings for our near future and proves we are already experiencing the negative effects of global warming. Trump refutes his own report...of course. I don't expect him (or you) to grasp the reality.

It seems that the globe turns more and more warm. However, the world leader have not reached agreement on this point.
The point is: hard headed people are preparing for the inevitable changes by moving away from low coastal areas. The real estate values in these places are dropping like a rock and this is causing mayhem in economic projections which guide the stock market. Eventually, when the truth becomes unavoidable...I expect world chaos and the survivors will be people who have seen the danger coming and have prepared for it.
The wild fires are out due to exhaustive efforts by thousands of firefighters and recent heavy rains which have come long overdue. People will begin removing forested areas from populated centers and doing what they can to counter the fire threat but nothing's going to help much. I think we're all in for some nasty weather Walter. |

Do you know of the Malthusian theory of population. I think that the climate change is like the Malthusian theory of population. You Americans and westerners dont have population control at all and you just let the developping countries have population controls. You Americans and westerners try to affect the developping contries to cut CO2 emision and you drive your cars to travel around as your life styles.

I'd say Indonesia is a developing country...our rate of growth is far less. Also, the United States with 3.8 million square miles compared to China's 3.7 million square miles can easily afford our 75% less population. |

I dont know whether the data in your post is accurate or not, but I feel you have exaggerated the problem of population and/or climate changes. In fact you can call for planting more trees to absorb the CO2 in atmosphere which has been over emitted since industrial revolution.
As you said in your post we are greedy, petty and stupid, Chinese policy makers also made some stupid decisions. Do you know Chinese 'one child policy', However, Chinese scholars are at odds on how to revalue it now.
