I am on Chapter 30. The book didn't get good for me until after Part 2. Now I am enjoying it very much. How much progress have you all made?

I skimmed the book and found it interesting. However, I won't be continuing in this thread. Sorry for such late notice.

Made You Up. I didn't really get into the story line until part 2 of the book. Then it was interesting to see what happened to the protaganist in the story. Her love for Miles and their adventures during highschool was fun to read. The only part that I saw coming was Celia being molested by the teacher. I thought there was something funny about how she was in his office so often. Other than that I didn't see any of the plot twists coming up.
What is a Yoo hoo?
She was threatened to be put into institution. Were you ever threatened to a place you didn't want to go? We can see at the end of the novel that it was good she got treatment but in my life, I do not want to live in a group home ever again. I get threatened to move me to a group home every so often and I do not appreciate it. This was a fun read for me after part 2. I highly recommend this book to people who would like to know more about how mental illness effects other people.

I hated the book for the first twenty pages and then got into it and started rooting for her,
I didn't really see the point of her going to woodlands. I doubt they could offer anything to heal her.
I would hate to be threatened with going to a hospital. I lived through something like that for a short time where my Dad kept inferring things to me.
I was for sure that Miles was made up. And then was startled when it turned out to be her sister. They played those cards very well.
Who was your favourite character in the book? The Father? The imaginary sister? Alex?
I kind of liked the father and hated the therapist.
I found the scene where cliff paid Miles $50 to beat him up disturbing and it upset me.
I never got out of it that Celia was being molested. Did they actually say that - why did she keep going back to the office?
How did Alex survive a scoreboard falling on her?

I think they put her in woodlands as a resolution to her problem. Whether it can help her or not isn't certain but at least they did something to try to help her. People see that Alex needed help and that was the only way they could think to help her.
Alex is my favorite character in the book. She had the braveness to tell Miles off, when he broke into Tucker's house and she really regretting playing that trick on him.
Yes, they did say Celia was molested by that teacher. I don't know why she keep going back to the office, they didn't explain it in the book.
It could be believable to have Alex survive a scoreboard falling on her.
