Hi all
Am proposing to modify the title of the site to reflect who we really are since we are more friends than a mental health web site.
Vote for up to two choices or suggest another name.

Here is my reaction
1) Friends Reunited
2) Life After MT
3) Forever Friends
4) Friends Anonymous
Don't like Friends Anonymous. It is a logical name but not warm in my heart enough. Means we are anonymous strangers to each other.
Life after MT - has potential but perhaps makes us seem a bit sad that we are linked to MT so much. So maybe not a title with the name MT in it on retrospection and further analysis.
Forever Friends is quite good but a bit too cliche'd and overused possibly
Freinds Reunited - I like very much.
Could be a winner. It works because when members like Jody drop in they are reuniting with us.
Only slight knock on it is that were we ever split apart or did we "stay together admidst adversity"
I have Friends Reunited as my front runner atm
Some last minute alternatives to make sure we have considered all angles:
"Friends united" is that better than reunited
"Band of Friends" Kind of catchy
"Loyal friends" might be too strong an adjective
How about your preference out of
1) Friends Reunited Social Forum
2) Friends United Social Forum
3) Band of Friends Social Forum
I prefer option 2 or 3 due to my slight quibble as to whether we actually reunited.

"MT" is to backwards looking? The reason we are a family is not MT rather that we are survivors.
also concerned by what chelle mentioned in the other thread that she searches for starlight forum and not wanting to lose that word starlight or we could lose members who are unable to find us.
"Starlight Family Reunited Forum" I don't know - it is never me that comes up with a good name - someone come to the rescue please.

That's a big help Based on your suggestion have it down to A) Starlight Lounge: Reuniting Friends B) Starlight Social Forum: Reuniting Friends C) Starlight Social Forum: Reuniting Family Have a preference for B or C, over A as chelle at least is finding the site by googling "Starlight Social forum". Tried googling Starlight Lounge and quite a few have it eg some facebook groups. A reminder of why I chose Starlight to begin with is felt on reflection one day all of us with a mental health issue had been born under the wrong star. At the same time we have moments of magic together so starlight seemed to get both points across. Will post that and see if any last minute feedback before choosing one tonight. |

Well decision time as people seem to have had their say. Lets go with option B as reuniting family does ring as well to their ear as reuniting friends.

Hi All,
Be advised have changed the site name to "Starlight Social Forum: Reuniting Friends"
I have sent all members of this site an email to update them of this. There are about 20 odd members of the site. It is possible we may see a visit from a lapsed member in the next few days in response to the update which would be nice.
Forgive me if any of you found the email to be unnecessary, it may have been for people who visit this site often and were aware of the change, but the news maybe helpful to an infrequent user.
This is only the second time have ever emailed the use base. The first time was when we last changed the site name.

Thanks for the feedback that you like the name. Chelle - let me know that Starlight was a current live search term David suggested "Friends Reunited" Diesel endorsed "Friends Reunited" Flame suggested a way of combining all of the above A good team effort and a much better name landed on by consulting. An update - our name "Starlight social forum" has been indexed by Google.
This will be hard to follow unless you know how seo works but here is my thoughts:
The previous name 'Mental Health Matters etc" was getting ignored by Google. I suspect they thought we were "keyword stuffing". Which essentially we were.
Now our new name "Starlight social forum" has been indexed. It is possible our whole site was not being spidered previously if they thought we were keyword spammers.
What am saying is that in a best case more and more of our content could appear in google search results which could lead to more site visitors.
