I trust Pub Talk..
does not transgress to 'locker talk'
in the way Trump justified his
demeaning of women.

This being one of the first threads...I get nostalgic about it. It wasn't long ago that I encountered a light hearted approach to life right here. It's a therapeutic exercise trying to recall the highlights of your day. There were a few.
My cat (Page) has this habit of perching on my chest with her slit eyed predator face about two inches from mine. We've been friends for awhile so this isn't too intimidating...besides she's purring. It's around this time that I become aware of her ulterior motive as she gently digs her claws into my skin. It's her way of reminding me of her feeding time...which is very often. Y'see, I have this bulimic cat who insists on eating till she pukes. So...I give her just so much so many times a day so I don't have to mop up her habit. She's actually come a long way...she used to be OCD. She'd lick herself raw to the point where we put a cone around her head to prevent it. She looked pathetic but it worked. When we got her from the humane society she was a stray beat up from wild encounters so we became overprotective and kept her inside. Between that and the cone...she freaked. Two summers ago we let her become an outside cat with inside privileges. Almost immediately, the anxiety ended. So...now, before the claws really start penetrating, I'll get up to deliver a small portion of dry food to her bowl and be grateful I won't have to watch the last bit of fur being ripped from a bare patch of skin. Weird enough...hey? Moral of the story: purring don't mean happy....just intent on purpose be it ear rubs or food.

A thread for some small comment you have that doesn't warrant starting a new thread... It could be about how your day went, or about someone annoying who cut you off on the road, or something funny from the news. So, I like this 'Pub' concept. Good one Herc!
Perhaps this is the place to rant about stupid phone cords. Seriously, I am here having a phone free weekend because another stupid phone cord has bit the dust. How often must I shell out more money for one. And Apple cords are not cheap.
Seems they blow out right where the hub and cord connect. Computer charge cords don't do that, I have the same laptop cord since I got it 4 years ago. Why can't they do the same for the phone?
Most everyone else, can get into the car and go get another cord without too much issue. However, I am waiting for them to arrive by mail. Stupid phone cords!

That is a good idea Hercules, but I am almost always on the darn thing. But maybe I should plan for only so much time on the phone, and then off time, and turn the phone off for that time frame. This would help me be more productive in other areas of my life.

Industrial cord eh? Looks promising. Except for the part with the ball, I have seen something like this on Groupon, and I almost got one, but went for the cord that said it would "Ships today". but it didn't ship for over 24 hrs. Grrrrr!!! It should be here by today (Monday) when the mail comes.
And Groupon will be getting my 2 cents worth. And perhaps in 6 months time when it is not an urgent issue, I can plan ahead and get such an industrial cord. Thanks Keith!
